My sincere condolences on Andrew's death.
Andrew was my "devilmaster" ; I was one of his two last "devils" before he took silk; I was deeply fortunate and regard myself as having been highly rewarded in all that.
Though entirely professional in and out of court he was unerringly courteous and considerate to all - an example for us all to aspire to.
I , too , remember his love of Housman's Shropshire poetry and for all things railway - particularly when he won the legal reprieve for the West Highland line !
While I was in practice myself his continued advice and support - often walking in the Hall or over tea in the Reading Room - was always welcome and remains , gratefully , remembered.
Andrew will , indeed , be sorely missed by all who were so truly privileged to have known him.
